Aluminum Motor Mount & Upper Spur Gear Case Cover

This is an RC-scale aluminum motor mount and integrated upper spur gear case cover designed for TRAXXAS TRX4 platforms, intended to stabilize the motor, protect the main gear and reduce dust ingress. The unit combines the motor mount and spur gear cover into a single assembly to limit movement under motor vibration and to maintain consistent gear mesh during trail crawling.

The mount is adjustable: the motor can be fixed to different positioning holes to set the correct distance between the pinion gear and the spur gear, allowing fine tuning of gear mesh. The mount moves the motor forward by 3mm compared to stock placement to shift weight bias slightly forward, a layout difference notable on crawler setups.

Construction uses 6061 T6 aluminum for increased tensile strength and impact resistance at RC scale, and the mount incorporates heat-sink fins to assist passive cooling. An added active cooling fan sits on top of the assembly to supplement heat dispersion from the motor area, creating a combined passive and active cooling effect.
