This GPM TRX4ZSP56C engine radiator is an RC-scale accessory intended to add active cooling to models labelled TRX4 Trail Crawler V8 LS3. It combines a compact fan assembly and a radiator body placed in the motor area to manage simulated engine heat at scale, using a welded temperature sensor to control fan operation automatically.
Key functional points are straightforward: the unit has a built-in temperature sensor welded to the fan that triggers the fan on at approximately 35°C (±5°C) and resets around 25°C (±5°C). The fan is specified for higher airflow performance up to about 3.25 CFM (±10%), which supports consistent airflow through the radiator core when the sensor activates.
Materials and construction are mixed-metal and engineered plastic: the main body uses aluminum plus stainless steel, while the cover and exhaust pipe are molded from black heat-resistant ABS. The assembly measures 52mm x 63mm x 71mm and is supplied as a single engine radiator unit (1 pcs) intended for scale fitting in the motor area.
Installation notes for TRX-4 variants must be observed exactly as provided: when mounting on a TRX-4 Defender the exhaust manifold side may need removal to create clearance, and the crossbar on the original body post requires trimming to align with the intake pipe position. For conversions to a front-engine layout, the manifold can be mounted directly on the original damper mount and fender after removing the manifold, but installation requires a flat-style front damper mount such as GPM Racing #TRX4028 or an equivalent to provide room for left and right manifolds.
This radiator is intended as a scale-performance accessory to control model cooling behavior and requires bodywork changes on some TRX-4 builds; review clearance and mount style before fitting.
