This is an RC-scale V8 LS3 style engine radiator designed for the TRAXXAS TRX-4 Defender, intended for use as a visual and thermal-management accessory in trail crawler builds. The assembly combines an aluminum main body with stainless steel components and a black heat-resistant ABS cover and exhaust pipe, and includes a high-speed cooling fan with a welded temperature sensor that switches the fan on or off automatically.
Key hardware notes: the unit measures 52mm x 63mm x 71mm and is intended for installation in the motor area. When fitting to a TRX-4 Defender the stock manifold must be removed to provide clearance, and the crossbar on the original body post trimmed to align with the intake pipe. For builds that relocate the engine to a front position, the radiator can be mounted to the original damper mount and fender, but may require a flat-style front damper mount such as GPM Racing TRX4028 or equivalent to clear both left and right manifolds.
Technical behaviour: the built-in temperature sensor is rated to trigger the fan at approximately 35°C with a reset around 25°C, each with a ±5°C tolerance, and the fan delivers up to about 3.25 CFM airflow (±10%). The sensor is welded to the fan assembly to provide a single integrated switching unit.
This radiator is a scale-correct accessory that also adds an active thermal element for TRX-4 Defender builds; plan clearance and mount changes during installation and verify fit when the manifold or damper mounts are modified.
