This aftermarket center chassis protection plate is an RC-scale accessory designed for the TRAXXAS Unlimited Desert Racer 1:7 platform. Fabricated from 1mm 304 stainless steel, the plate sits over the vehicle's central underbody to reduce direct abrasion to the chassis and battery cover when running on sand, gravel, or rough terrain.

Installation is straightforward: remove the original fasteners from the battery cover area, position the protection plate over the center chassis, and secure it with the supplied flat head screws. Double-sided tape is provided around the battery cover area to improve initial adhesion; for best results clean and dry the surface before applying the tape and use a hair dryer to warm the tape and battery cover to promote stronger bonding.

The metallic finish also offers a uniform visual transition under the chassis while keeping added mass minimal due to the 1mm sheet thickness. The part functions as a wear surface and mounting interface rather than a structural chassis reinforcement, and it is intended for scale and durability improvements during aggressive off-road use.

Use the included screws and tape for a fitted install, verify alignment before final tightening, and periodically check the fasteners and adhesive after running in sandy or abrasive conditions.
