Stainless steel tube chassis protection

This is an RC-scale tube chassis protection set designed for the TRAXXAS Unlimited Desert Racer platform, supplied by GPM UDRZSP1. The kit uses 0.5mm stainless steel panels to protect the forward tube section and wheel well areas on the tube chassis while adding a metallic finish for a pro-scale appearance.

The set is compact and fit-for-purpose: it protects vulnerable tube runs from debris and contact during bashing or scale runs, and the metallic surface provides a consistent aesthetic combined with basic abrasion resistance. The panels are intended to be adhered to the chassis using the included double sided tape for a low-profile installation without drilling.

Included items and role in tuning: the flat stainless panels reduce direct impacts to the chassis tubes and help keep sand, mud, and small rocks away from the lower tube surfaces, supporting chassis longevity and consistent handling through reduced damage-related geometry changes.

Installation steps (adhesive method): mark alignment points on the tube chassis to match the panels, place the double sided tape on panel contact areas, then press each panel into position ensuring correct alignment. Allow the tape to set before using the model under load.
