This GPM kit supplies aluminum L-shape piggyback damper components designed for TRAXXAS X-MAXX scale use, intended to replace internal damper parts while retaining the original shock bodies. The set is built to increase internal oil capacity through a piggyback layout, and incorporates anti-leak features to keep oil where it belongs during long travel cycles.
Important: this kit requires use of the original shock body from your X‑MAXX shocks; the components are not a complete sealed shock and are intended to work with factory shock tubes and end caps.
The kit upgrades the shock shaft to a thicker 7mm stainless steel rod for improved stiffness under heavy load, and uses aluminum for the piggyback housing to keep weight reasonable while adding structural support. Included spring options from the source are a 6mm green coil and a 2.8mm orange coil to offer immediate spring-rate options for setup tuning.
These L-shape piggyback dampers are sold as a front and rear compatible set, so the same component geometry can be applied to both ends of the X‑MAXX chassis. When installing, keep original seals and shock caps in good condition to preserve the kit’s anti-leak performance, and re-use factory hardware where applicable.
