L-shape Piggy Back Damper for XRT 8S

This L-shape piggy back damper is designed as an aftermarket replacement for the TRAXXAS XRT 8S scale buggy. Its role is to control rebound and absorb impact forces at the model scale to keep handling consistent over varied terrain.

The assembly uses a 6061-T6 aluminium body with a shock-absorb cap to reduce leakage, and a built-in piston spring in the piggy back reservoir to fine-tune rebound characteristics. The damper shaft is polished and thickened to 7.0mm to reduce the chance of bending compared with the original 5.2mm shaft design.

Adjustment is provided by the top spring retainer and a red screw at the bottom of the negative pressure oil cylinder, allowing preload and rebound bias to be changed without disassembly. The unit ships with replaceable 2.9mm silver coil springs while the damper accepts the installed 2.8mm black spring if retained.

Installation notes: the parts are intended for front or rear fitment on the specified TRAXXAS chassis, verify mounting points and thread sizes before fitting, and use proper shock oil and seals to maintain performance and prevent leaks.
