This is a 1:72 scale plastic model kit representing the Henschel-production German Sd.Kfz.186 Jagdtiger and positioned within small-scale armoured vehicle releases for model builders and collectors.
The real Jagdtiger began development in early 1943 as a heavy tank destroyer intended to engage armored targets at long range. A wooden mock-up was presented in October 1943. Two prototype suspension variants were completed in February 1944 - a Porsche-sprung version with eight roadwheels and a Henschel-sprung version with nine roadwheels. Initially designated Jagdpanzer VI, it later received the name Jagdtiger and the number Sd.Kfz.186. Production started intermittently from mid-1944 and was limited as other priorities affected output.
Model details below are limited to the kit as supplied. The kit reproduces the Henschel-production external profile and suspension layout in small scale. The parts count and sprue layout are provided, and the kit includes decals printed for a three-color German camouflage scheme. Model brief dimensions indicate the finished length, width, and height in millimeters for scale reference. Builders should consult reference photos for final paint and weathering choices.
A compact-scale representation of the Henschel-production Jagdtiger providing detailed external suspension and a three-color decal option; suitable for display-focused builders and collectors working in 1:72 scale.
