A 1:72 scale plastic model kit representing the German Sturmgeschutz III Ausf. E, presented as a small-scale tracked assault-gun subject intended for display-oriented modeling and reference work.
The Sturmgeschutz III originated as a dedicated assault gun design, later taking on defensive and tank-destroyer roles as the war progressed. Early Ausf A examples were followed by incremental changes through Ausf B, C, D and E; all early versions were armed with the short 75mm StuK 37 L/24. Production of the early Ausf A-E series was undertaken by Alkett, with the last Ausf E examples completed in early 1942. These vehicles served in front-line and support roles until replaced by later designs.
As a scale kit, this release focuses on external detail and accurate proportions for the Ausf. E silhouette. The kit includes a set of light grey plastic parts forming the hull and superstructure, and full-length rubber-type tracks supplied as strip-style elements. Decal markings match the single-color RLM 02 gray scheme noted for some period vehicles. Model dimensions and parts counts allow straightforward bench work for builders accustomed to small-scale armored subjects.
A compact 1:72 representation of the early Sturmgeschutz III Ausf. E that provides a concise parts set and period marking for display models and reference builds.
