The XRAY 302242 X4 aluminium hub is a CNC‑machined, lightweight steering block made from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum and finished with black anodizing. It is a direct replacement for the standard composite hubs and is intended specifically for 1:10 scale X4 series cars used in high‑grip track conditions.
Using aluminium steering blocks reduces flex compared with factory composite parts, improving steering consistency and predictability. The hub’s construction targets stability and repeatability for spec racing and controlled racing classes where setup consistency matters.
The design is universal for all four corners, using the same hub with corresponding extensions where required. The hub allows full axle‑height adjustability to adapt suspension geometry across different track surfaces. Carbon front steering plates and rear ARS plates mount to the hub depending on wheelbase and placement.
Note: because the aluminium hub sits lower than the kit composite hub, add 2.0mm of additional shimming to restore the original upper arm height above the hub when swapping parts.
This hub is a straight technical upgrade for X4 series cars where reduced steering flex and consistent axle height tuning are desired, particularly on high‑grip tracks and in spec classes.
