The upper aluminum cap features a small vent opening which makes surprise installation extremely predictable and easy, since extra shock oil will escape through this vent gap making sure just the proper amount of the oil is within the shock construction. Machined inside ridges ensure proper positioning and sealing of the super-soft silicone membrane layer.
