HVF shock shaft for BD9

The Yokomo B9-S5SHVFA HVF shock shaft is a 19.1mm RC shock shaft finished with a heavy fluorine surface treatment to lower friction and extend service life. Developed in collaboration with AXON, the component targets minimal bearing and seal resistance to deliver a smoother damper action on BD9 series touring car chassis.

In practice this shaft helps the shock assembly respond to small inputs by reducing stick-slip at the sliding interface, which promotes more consistent suspension behavior and improved traction during fine tuning. Long-term testing by the development team confirmed improved durability compared with previous surface treatments.
