Rear shock spring for pitching damper

This is a setting spring intended for the rear pitching damper on Yokomo R12 scale shocks, supplied in a soft rate that is softer than Yokomo's standard spring. It is sold as a replacement spring to alter rear pitching response without changing shock bodies or pistons.

Installation is straightforward: remove the shock cap and spring retainer, slide off the original spring, and fit the R12-18RSS onto the shock shaft with the appropriate preload and retainer. No proprietary tools are required beyond standard shock service tools and a hex driver for shock end screws.

In tuning terms the softer spring reduces the rear pitch stiffness, which can help with traction and weight transfer on low-grip surfaces or when smoother rear response is desired; pair changes in spring rate with damping and anti-roll adjustments to retain balanced handling.
