Progressive shock springs for RC suspension

This Yokomo RP-077 Progressive Ultra Shock Spring set is an RC-scale accessory designed to alter suspension response through a progressive-rate coil profile. The springs are intended to change how the shock compresses and returns, providing a variable spring rate that becomes stiffer as compression increases, which helps manage mid-to-high travel control without claiming any specific chassis compatibility.

Installation is straightforward for typical coil-over shock assemblies: remove the shock end cap and spring retainer, swap the factory spring for the progressive unit, and reassemble while checking preload and travel. No special tools beyond standard shock disassembly tools are required, and common practice is to set preload and ride height incrementally while evaluating handling.

In tuning, progressive springs are used to soften initial compliance for small bumps while resisting bottoming under heavy compression. Use them when you want a smoother initial response with increasing support as travel grows. Match spring selection to your suspension damping and the driving surface rather than to vehicle make or model.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Progressive means the spring rate increases with compression, offering softer initial movement and greater resistance deeper in the travel, affecting bump absorption and bottoming resistance.
They are intended for use in standard coil-over RC shock assemblies, but check spring length and shock retainer fitment before swapping to ensure proper seating and travel.
Use the smaller size for a softer overall feel and the larger size for slightly firmer support; evaluate with your shock damping and track surface, adjusting preload as needed.
