The Yokomo RP-113450 RP Ultra Shock Oil #45 (Clear) is an R/C-scale silicone shock oil designed for tuning damper response in silicone-equipped shocks and dampers. The RP Ultra series has been updated with finer viscosity increments at key points and a color-coding scheme that helps identify grades quickly during setup changes.

Viscosity #45 (clear) provides a mid-range damping characteristic suitable when adjusting rebound and compression balance. In practice, swapping to a lighter or heavier grade within the RP Ultra range adjusts chassis roll and weight transfer; make incremental changes and test on the same layout to evaluate effects.

When servicing shocks, drain the old fluid, rinse internals if needed, and refill slowly to avoid air bubbles. After filling, cycle the shock shaft to expel trapped air and top up to the correct level. Use a clean syringe or dispenser dedicated to silicone oils to keep grades uncontaminated.
