Super Flex Gear Differential Oil

Yokomo's YOKCSDOT1 is a Dot 1 viscosity silicone differential oil formulated for RC-scale gear differentials. It is intended for 1/10 scale electric on-road and touring chassis where subtle diff behaviour and low-speed traction control are required. This product should be treated as a tuning fluid for model differentials and not for full-size or non-RC use.

In practice, Dot 1 oil reduces internal drag and allows the diff to engage smoothly at low torque, which helps fine-tune corner entry and traction on low-grip surfaces. Use it when you want a freer centre differential action compared with higher-dot fluids, or when setting up a car that benefits from quicker differential recovery during steering transitions.

Installation is straightforward: drain the existing diff fluid, flush internals if required, and refill to the manufacturer's recommended volume for your differential type. Allow a short break-in period on the track to let the fluid settle and for behaviour to stabilise before final tuning adjustments.

Remark :

"Dot 1" denotes a very low viscosity silicone oil used to give freer diff action and quicker internal recovery, suitable for fine low-speed tuning.
Remove the differential cover, drain the old oil, clean internals if needed, then refill with Dot 1 to the diff's recommended fill level and reassemble.
Store sealed away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, keep caps tight to avoid contamination, and label bottles if you keep multiple viscosities.
