Super Flex differential oil for RC diffs

The Yokomo YOKCSDOT5 Super Flex Gear Differential Oil Dot 5 is an RC-scale silicone oil formulated for gear-type differentials. It is intended for use in model car differentials where Dot 5 viscosity characteristics are required to fine-tune rotational coupling between the left and right drives.

This oil's role is tuning: it changes how quickly torque transfers across the differential under load, affecting corner entry stability and mid-corner rotation. Use it to adjust handling balance rather than as a replacement for mechanical repairs.

Installation is straightforward at the component level: remove the differential from the model, access the gear cavity, and replace or top up the internal fluid to the level recommended by the differential manufacturer. After filling, reassemble the unit and verify smooth operation within the chassis before running.

Handling and maintenance notes: store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, keep the cap tight to avoid contamination, and replace the fluid if it shows discoloration or particulate matter. As with all RC-scale fluids, avoid contact with painted surfaces and electronics.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Dot 5 oil provides a specific level of internal resistance that moderates torque transfer, giving a predictable balance between free and locked diff behavior for tuning handling.
Mixing oils changes the effective viscosity and behavior; if you need a specific result, replace the existing fluid and test incrementally rather than mixing unknown proportions.
