Super Flex Gear Differential Oil — Dot 6

The Yokomo YOKCSDOT6 is a silicone-based gear differential oil labelled Dot 6 intended for use in RC-scale gear differentials. It is formulated to alter low-speed shear and internal slip characteristics without changing mechanical parts, letting tuners refine traction, cornering feel, and throttle transition on electric scale models.

In practical setup work the oil replaces the fluid inside a gear-type differential to adjust how quickly the diff transfers torque between output shafts. A heavier feel from Dot 6 compared with lighter grades increases resistance to quick internal movement, which can reduce inside-wheel spin under power and change how the car enters and exits corners.

Service notes: when changing differential oil follow standard diff servicing steps, ensure the housing is clean of debris, and refill to the same level as before. Test changes incrementally and record settings so you can revert if the behaviour is not as expected. This product is intended for RC-scale applications only.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Dot 6 indicates a medium light silicone viscosity grade used to increase internal diff resistance compared with lower Dot numbers, affecting low-speed slip and traction.
Reinstall the differential, run short test passes and compare corner entry, mid-corner balance and drive out. Make one change at a time and note results for repeatable tuning.
Yes, it is designed as a silicone differential oil for RC-scale gear differentials on electric models to fine tune handling characteristics.
