48-Pitch 19T Pinion Gear Overview

This Yokomo YOKPG4819 is an RC-scale pinion gear designed for 48-pitch drivetrains. Its 19-tooth profile lets builders adjust overall gear ratio in small, predictable steps when paired with a matching 48-pitch spur gear.

Functionally, the part is used to change acceleration and top-speed balance without altering motor or ESC settings. Fitment requires a motor shaft and a spur gear of the same 48-pitch standard so tooth mesh and backlash can be set correctly.

Installation notes: slide the pinion onto the motor shaft, align tooth mesh with the spur gear, and verify smooth rotation through the full suspension travel or drivetrain articulation. Check mesh under load and after a few runs, re-tighten mounting hardware as needed and inspect teeth for wear.

Maintenance tips: keep mating gears clean of debris, inspect for chipped or worn teeth before sessions, and replace the pinion if tooth wear affects mesh. This part is intended solely for 1/10 scale electric RC applications and should be paired with compatible 48-pitch components.
