The ultra-hard treatment focuses on durability under frequent gear engagement while keeping the part suitable for typical 1/10 scale on-road and touring setups that use 48 pitch gearing.

Compatibility and installation notes: this pinion is intended for 48 pitch gear systems; confirm your motor shaft diameter and keying before fitting. When installing, set correct mesh with the spur gear to avoid premature wear: start with a paper-thin feel between teeth, rotate the drivetrain to seat the gear, then secure the pinion fastener while maintaining mesh. Check for play and re-tighten after a short test run.

Tuning role: changing pinion tooth count alters acceleration and top speed within the existing motor and ESC setup. A smaller tooth count favors acceleration, a larger tooth count favors top speed; use incremental changes and record results to find the balance for your track and motor temperature limits.
