Precision 64-Pitch 31T Pinion Gear

This Yokomo YOKPG6431 pinion is a 31-tooth, 64-pitch pinion gear designed as an RC-scale motor pinion replacement. The ultra-hard designation refers to a hardened surface treatment intended to extend service life under typical RC motor loads while maintaining accurate tooth profile for reliable mesh.

Use this pinion in setups that require a 64-pitch pinion, matching a 64-pitch spur gear. Check tooth count, bore size and shaft fit before installation to confirm compatibility with your motor and gearbox. Do not force fit parts; proper alignment prevents premature wear.

Installation guidance: fit the pinion perpendicular to the motor shaft, secure with the original set screw or keyed retainer, and set correct gear mesh using a feeler or paper method to avoid binding or excessive backlash. After initial run, recheck tightness of the set screw and verify smooth rotation.

Tuning role: swapping pinion tooth counts alters final drive ratio and motor load. A 31T pinion raises or lowers RPM relative to other sizes depending on the spur, so use incremental changes when tuning for acceleration, top speed, or motor temperature control. Monitor motor temperature and drivetrain noise after any change.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The pinion is 64 pitch with 31 teeth, intended for use with 64-pitch spur gears.
Position the pinion on the motor shaft, tighten lightly, set mesh using a thin paper between gears then fully secure the set screw and recheck after a short run.
It is a 64-pitch pinion with an ultra-hard finish, commonly used on motors that accept 64-pitch pinions; ensure shaft fit and thermal management for high-power applications.
