Precision 26T Pinion Gear

This 26-tooth pinion is presented as a precision replacement part for R/C motor drivetrains, intended for scale model use only. The gear's role in a setup is straightforward: change the pinion tooth count to alter final drive ratio, tune acceleration versus top speed, and match motor characteristics with the spur gear.

When fitting a pinion, confirm shaft diameter and gear pitch compatibility before installation. Proper mesh is critical—set mesh so teeth engage cleanly without binding, then secure the set screw and re-check mesh under load. A small amount of play at rest that closes under throttle is preferable to a tight mesh that binds.

For maintenance, inspect teeth for wear, burrs, or missing material and replace the pinion if any damage appears. Use light gear-specific lubricant on the gear interface only if recommended for your spur gear material, and keep gears free of grit and debris to prolong service life.

Choice of a 26T pinion is commonly used as a middle ground for refining gear ratios during tuning runs; pair it with your existing spur gear selection to dial in desired performance while observing motor temperature and ESC load.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Check the manufacturer notes for shaft diameter compatibility before purchase, confirm fit on your motor shaft, and ensure the set screw seats fully.
Position the pinion, install the spur, loosen pinion set screw, adjust mesh until slight clearance then tighten, recheck under rotation for smooth engagement.
