Shock oil for RC suspension

The Yokomo YOKYS300 Super Blend Shock Oil #300 is a silicone-based oil sold for use in RC-scale shock absorbers and suspension assemblies. It is supplied as a tuning fluid to adjust damping behavior in model cars, and should be treated strictly as a hobby part for scale vehicles.

Compatibility is general rather than chassis-specific: use this oil in any RC shock cartridge or threaded shock body that accepts silicone shock fluids. Do not assume fitment differences between brands, check your shock manual for recommended oil grades before changing fluids.

Installation is straightforward for anyone familiar with RC shock servicing: drain the old oil, inspect seals and pistons for wear, then fill and bleed the shock per your shock design. Work in small amounts when testing; small changes in oil weight or air volume can noticeably alter damping. The product name indicates a grade "#300" which is intended to guide selection relative to other weights.

From a tuning perspective, shock oil affects compression and rebound damping as part of the overall suspension setup alongside springs, shock pistons, and preload. Use this oil to refine body roll and weight transfer on your buggy or touring car, and evaluate changes on a test run rather than relying on numbers alone. Store the bottle sealed in a cool, dry place and avoid contaminating the fluid with dirt or solvents.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The "#300" in the product name denotes the manufacturer's grade for selection among other shock oils, used as a reference when matching damping feel to track conditions.
Clean the shock exterior first, work over a tray to catch spills, replace any worn seals, fill and bleed slowly to avoid air pockets, and test on-track after small incremental changes.
