This is a silicone-based shock oil formulated for RC-scale shock absorbers to adjust damping rates without altering spring preload or ride height. As a purpose-built fluid, it modifies compression and rebound behaviour inside sealed shock bodies, letting tuners refine handling for different track surfaces and driving styles.
Installation is straightforward: drain the old oil from the shock, clean the shaft and internal parts, then refill to the manufacturer’s recommended level using a syringe or dedicated filling tool. Work the shaft slowly to remove air bubbles and verify smooth, consistent travel before reassembling the shock onto the chassis.
For tuning, use incremental changes in viscosity to observe handling differences; higher viscosity increases damping resistance and slows rebound, lower viscosity reduces resistance and quickens response. Record each oil change so setups can be repeated or reverted during practice sessions.
