Aluminum shim for spacing and tuning

This set contains eight precision-cut aluminum shims sized 3x6x3.0mm intended for R/C scale use. The black anodized finish helps resist wear while keeping contact surfaces thin and consistent. Use these shims where small, repeatable changes to spacing or preload are required.

Application notes: place shims as thin spacing elements between bearings, shafts, hubs, or mounting points to correct axial play, refine gear mesh, or fine-tune component alignment. Because each shim is a fixed 3.0mm thickness, stacking combinations let you obtain intermediate clearances without machining.

Installation tips: clean mating surfaces before fitting to avoid trapping debris, align shim edges with housings to prevent interference, and recheck clearances after tightening fasteners. Use appropriate threadlocker or locknuts on fasteners when reassembly requires vibration resistance.

Handling and tuning role: aluminum shims provide predictable spacing changes useful during chassis setup and iterative tuning cycles, for example adjusting driveline binding or centering rotating assemblies without altering fixed components.
