Soft shock O-ring for dampers

This soft O-ring is designed for RC shock assemblies, made from a fluorine-based material with high oil resistance to preserve seal performance over extended use. The softer profile helps maintain contact with the shock piston and reduce friction-related sticking, supporting consistent damping feel during track sessions or practice runs.

The package includes a polyslider shim that can be fitted depending on the damper cylinder design to improve adhesion between O-ring and cylinder bore and to reduce the chance of oil leakage. Use the shim when your damper shows minor leakage or when swapping between cylinder types to fine-tune sealing without changing internal components.

Installation is straightforward: remove the damper shaft and inspect the piston and cylinder for wear, replace the old O-ring with the YS-7HGCA unit, and add the polyslider shim only if the cylinder geometry or oil behavior suggests improved contact is needed. After reassembly, cycle the shock slowly to check for smooth travel and confirm there is no perceptible leakage.
