Steel rear suspension mount for YZ-2

This steel rear suspension mount (RF) is an RC-scale replacement part designed for YZ-2 2WD off‑road chassis. The unit replaces a standard rear mount and is intended to shift mass slightly lower in the chassis compared with typical aluminium pieces, changing rear traction and handling balance without altering geometry.

Fit and installation are straightforward for anyone familiar with YZ-2 rear-end servicing: remove the original rear mount, transfer any bushings or spacers, and secure the steel RF mount using the chassis' existing mounting hardware. Verify thread engagement and torque to the same levels used for the factory part to avoid fastener loosening during running.

In tuning terms this heavier steel mount is a simple tool to influence rear-end behaviour. Adding mass low on the chassis tends to increase rear traction and can make the car feel more planted through low-speed corners and on loose surfaces; use it in combination with spring and damping changes to dial the balance you want for specific track conditions.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The mount is made for YZ-2 family chassis listed in compatibility, it installs using the stock mounting points and hardware.
No special care is required beyond normal maintenance; check screws for tightness after initial runs and inspect for corrosion if exposed to moisture.
Expect slightly increased rear traction and a lower perceived center of gravity; adjust springs or damping if the balance feels too rear‑biased.
